Though
she had been a Respiratory Therapist since 1987 and a mom since
1997; in 2001 Karen joined her husband Jeffrey by taking over
the financial side of the business. “In 2002, we had the distinct pleasure of working with Ellen Cheever, who helped establish our sales process and fast-tracked our showroom construction,” says Karen. “She also suggested that I work side-by-side with Jeffrey, working with clients and their designs. It was like a light bulb going off—I am now working toward my Certified Kitchen Designer accreditation.” |

Jeffrey
Holloway has been building and remodeling kitchens & baths for
over 25 years. He has been responsible for the construction of
new homes, whole house renovations, and small additions. Jeffrey started in 1984 as a carpenter’s helper working with new construction, but quickly learned he loved the creativity and client interaction found in remodeling. Since 1990, he has owned and operated a series of successful companies related to the kitchen, bath and construction industries. Jeffrey’s projects have been featured in local and national shelter magazines. He has won consecutive Chrysalis Awards and has been recognized by The National Association of the Remodeling Industry as a Regional Contractor of the Year. He has provided design and project management services for show houses in his community. Jeffrey travels thru out the United States and Canada sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for the kitchen and bath community. Jeffrey is a lecturer and writer. He contributes to industry publications and writes and presents programs for industry events. Jeffrey delivers his message with candor and humor and has received numerous testimonials confirming him as one of the best the kitchen and bath industry has to offer. Jeffrey is also an instructor for the National Kitchen & Bath Association. He provides instruction to individuals and companies who want to learn more about successfully incorporating kitchen and bath design, sales and installation into their existing practices. He provides those in attendance with the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed. Jeffrey lives and works in Marmora, New Jersey. In this new economy; he manages Holloway Home Design, LLC. With a talented and experienced team, he designs, sells, and builds better kitchen & bath renovations to the surrounding primary and secondary residential housing community. A kitchen and
bath designer since 1985, Karen Dorion’s goal is to give clients
a “complete, functional, and creative design.” Having received
her Certified Kitchen Designer accreditation in 1993, Karen has
placed in both National Kitchen and Bath Association and
Heritage design competitions. Her work has been published in
Kitchen & Bath Business, Qualified Remodeler, Heritage product
brochures, and Kitchen & Bath Design News. In addition to residential design, Karen has designed several patented kitchen items, including spoon rests, measuring spoons, and a measuring cup with view window that was featured on the cover of the Martha By Mail catalog in fall 2000. |
